Using the Site

Navigation around the HomesPage UK website could not be easier. At all times we have attempted to provide shortcuts and/or easy paths back to previous pages or forward to additional services.

Icons
The majority of these shortcuts are in the form of icons, which we hope will be self-explanatory. Please see below for a comprehensive list of these icons.

	Home	Returns you to the main title page.
	Search / Go	Takes you directly to the Property Search Screen, and subsequently through to your Search Results.
	Forum	A direct link to our interactive Discussion Forum.
	Info	A shortcut to the Knowledge Base, to learn more about renting, law, and general practice.
	Error	Informs of an error, usually within the data input.
	Register	Allows you access to the Registration Screen, in which to input your details.
	Favourites	Allows you to keep track of your favourite properties.
	Inbox	Enables instant and secure communication betwen landlords and tenants.
	Account	Takes you to the option screen to view and / or edit your user profile, properties and account details (where applicable)
	Logout	Logs you out of the system and returns you to the Home screen.
	Tenants	This selection ensures that you receive information or services relating only to Tenants.
	Students	This selection ensures that you receive information or services relating only to Students.
	Landlords	This selection ensures that you receive information or services relating only to Landlords.
	Agencies	This selection ensures that you receive information or services relating only to Agencies.
	No Pets	Present on the Search Results if the property does not allow pets.
	No Smoking	Present on the Search Results if the property does not allow smoking.
	No Students	Present on the Search Results if the property is unable to be let to students.
	Single Sex	Present on the Search Results if the property does not allow mixed sex occupancy.

Selection Path
In addition to the icons, you will also find various other ways to navigate through the site. When you are required to travel through more than one screen to reach your chosen location, a path will appear at the top of the screen. You will then have the opportunity to return to the previous screen or to any other point in the path.

For example, selecting 'Register', then 'Tenant', will provide you with the following path:

Register » tenant

If you actually meant to register as a student, a single click on 'Register' will take you back to the icons on the previous page, in order to change your selection.

Shortcuts
Also known as 'Hyperlinks', these shortcuts take you directly to a specific place on the site. There are many of these on the HomesPage UK website, and they take two different forms:

Site Links
Take you to a particular area of the site, usually an information screen. For example, clicking on 'About Us' at the bottom of the Tenants introduction screen accessed from the Title Page, will take you straight to the 'About Us' narrative usually accessed from the list on the left of the screen.

Email Links
At various points in the site, you are encouraged to contact us by email for further information or feedback. Any links which promote this will enter you straight into your email system. For example, the link 'sales@homespageuk.com' will open your email (usually in Outlook Express format), and address it automatically to sales@homespageuk.
